MICHELIN Guide France 2015 Hotels Restaurants Michelin Red Guide French Edition Michelin 9782067197251 Books Reviews
- I'm a bit disappointed in the "new" format of the guide. It seems to have fewer city/town small scale maps, which is a minor flaw. The greater problem is that it has omitted the brief notes of the important local sights to see. The book has grown enormously in thickness over the years, so this is possibly understandable in the interest of keeping the book totable. But it greatly reduces its utility.
I haven't yet made my planned summer trip to France, so I can't comment on this edition of the Guide Rouge's restaurant selections. But in the past Michelin Red has always been the most consistent and reliable guide to what's good food, and what is extraordinary dining. - The Red Guide provides unbiased information on restaurant and hotels in virtually every town and city in France. It rates them in terms of quality and provides price info. Michelin stars are the gold standard for high quality cuisine Anyone who likes good food will find it indispensable
- My wife and I have relied upon the Michelin Red Guides for years. We were fortunate to have lived in Europe for several years and found these to be indispensable in helping us to find hotels and restaurants. While the "starred" restaurants are superb, don't be afraid to try those rated lower - especially those with one or more crossed spoons & forks. Because of the manner in which Michelin rates hotels and restaurants their ratings are in almost all cases spot on. Even though their Red Guide for France is entirely in French it is easy to understand the information via the symbols that are very well explained in the front of each guide. There simply is no better series of guides.
- Michelin remains the go-to guide for where to dine in Paris and beyond. I especially appreciate the relatively new listing for restaurants that provide good value as well as the evolution of the starred restaurants over time.
- wouldn't go to France without it
- As always never disappointed in the Michelin bible
- Great for trip planning. used in conjunction with TripAdvisor, all my pre-reserved hotels and restaurants were good choices.
- So very helpful
