- I had studied Spanish for 4 years, and don’t want to lose it. I was looking for a good book but couldn’t find one that was intermediate level. I found this book and love it, it’s perfect for learning while reading at the same time.
- I took a couple of semesters of Spanish in college. I downloaded this book because I remember my professor always said reading a book helps with fluency, learning a language requires working on fluency. What I love about this short story book is that the stories they break up the story into shorter passages. The PDF file is great to help you listen and follow the reader. The PDF also gives an assessment you can take to see if you understand the content you just read. The stories get longer and are a bit more difficult as the book progresses. The short stories are everyday life activities. When learning a language I always found it easier to understand if the language I was learning pertains to my life. I also LOVE that it gives the translation. This is so helpful when it comes to reading to others so you can use inflection when you read. Overall, I would say this book is excellent for someone like me, a couple of Spanish classes under their belt, a basic knowledge of the Spanish language and is looking to become more fluent in reading.
- Living in Texas most of my life and being around so many Spanish speakers, I've always had a grasp of the language. I even took some Spanish classes in high school. One issue for me is understanding Spanish when it is being spoken because of the speed because it is usually too fast for me to translate. That was not a problem listening to and reading this book. The speakers spoke at a very comfortable pace and were easy to follow. They were very clear and understandable. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to learn Spanish or refresh themselves on it.
- This gives you everything you need to get a good grasp on the language! I had Spanish in high school and this is a great refresher. The audio included helps to hear the correct pronunciation. The quizzes at the end are nice to see what you really know and how well you understood it. You definitely get your moneys worth. Excellent tool for those serious about learning Spanish.
